So, yesterday we went on a crocodile tour. We saw a bunch of birds (herons, falcons, pelicans, and many more whose names I immediately forgot), and of course tons of crocodiles. It was pretty amazing how close we got to the crocs - I actually touched one's tail! Our guide was crazy - he'd jump out of the boat and wave some chicken around to get the croc to snap at it for the cameras. Once he got kind of stuck in the mud and I really thought he'd get chomped, but he was quick, and made his escape. Ok, enough talk - on to the pictures!

So am I right? How does one properly pronounce "Jaco"? :-) If you get a chance, definitely check out the volcano at Arenal, the cloud forest (complete with ziplining of course) in Monteverde/Santa Elena, and my favorite spot: Manuel Antonio. Glad to hear you've made it safe and sound and are enjoying life!
ReplyDeletehaha, nope! It is pronounced Haco, and everyone keeps correcting me because now it's burned into my mind that it's Yaco. I should have stuck to my guns! I just now saw this comment, but luckily I've visited all the places you mentioned! Definitely loved Manuel Antonio, especially the lunch-stealing monkeys. . .
