The Adventure Begins! (Again)

If you've been following my blog, you may have noticed a lack of posts for the last 8 months. Well, there's a good reason for that - I was on time-out from my adventures. (Not that life in DC / Boston over that time wasn't exciting, but I don't think it was really worth blogging about).

Well, that's all about to change, as I am officially beginning round II of my adventure. In fact, I'm writing this from LAX, as I wait for my flight to Auckland New Zealand. Round I of my trip was a 4 month adventure through Central America. This one will be even bigger - more miles traveled, time spent traveling, and countries visited (more continents visited, too)!
My basic itinerary is as follows:

  • Feb 28 - March 30: New Zealand

  • March 30 - May 10: Australia

  • May 10 - Aug 6: Southeast Asia

  • Aug 6 - Sept 14 China / Mongolia

  • Sept 14 - Oct 7: London/Western Europe

Over the next seven months I will do my best to engage in entertaining, blog-worthy shenanigans, and then post about them here. (Hopefully I won't get locked out of my homestay, or pickpocketed again, though). I'll be posting updates every couple days, so check back regularly!(Note: if you'd like to have all my posts emailed right to you, just follow the instructions on this post.
Yes, the trip has just started, but I still have a couple photos for your viewing pleasure:

Loki "helps" me pack by falling asleep on my clothes. Thanks, Loki!

Me showing off my newly-packed bags, and the ever-fashionable pregnant-belly style of bag transportation. So hot right now!

Mountains just outside of LA, as viewed from my plane

Stalk me more easily!

Well, if you're reading this post, you know how to find my blog. Congratulations, that's 9/10 of the battle! However, after my last trip, I talked to several people who found it inconvenient to just regularly check my blog to see if I'd written an update. Instead they'd forget about it and get overwhelmed by posts once a month.

If you'd like to follow along and get the posts as they are published, just join the google group "Adrian's Excellent Adventure" by clicking here and clicking the link to join the group. I have set it up to automatically email every post I put up to all the members of that group. Note that this list is locked down, so the only emails you will get are new posts you won't suddenly get a bunch of random emails. Also, if you'd prefer, you can use an RSS Reader such as Google Reader to follow my blog - whatever floats your boat.

Happy reading! Oh, and please comment on the posts, or just send me an email from time to time - it makes me feel all connected back to home, and popular and stuff.
