Goodbye, New Zealand (Hello Australia!)

It's hard to believe I already spent a whole month in New Zealand, but it's true. And, sadly, all good things must come to an end (despite my best efforts - I tried in vain to extend my stay, but couldn't modify my ticket), so it was time to say goodbye to New Zealand.

On Tuesday I waved one final goodbye to Auckland, and boarded a flight for Sydney Australia. I've spent the last few days chilling in Sydney, planning out my next 6 weeks in Australia, and exploring the city. I had such a good time with my New Zealand bus tour that I ended up signing up for another bus tour in Australia. I'l be heading from Sydney to Cairns on The OzExperience. I hope it's as fun as Stray was.

My tour starts tomorrow, so hopefully I'll have plenty to blog about shortly. In the meantime, here are a few of my favorite pics from New Zealand which didn't make it into any of my previous blog posts. Enjoy!

showing my totally sweet shark boogie board who's boss

Swingin' high in Wahei

fun fact: there are some inherent risks in falling asleep on the Stray bus. .

Velociraptor tryouts in the Te Papa museum, Wellington

me carving a Maori-style bone fish-hook necklace

the building's falling! We're doomed!! (at Puzzling World, where we also spent a very long time trying to navigate a giant two-story maze. Cool place)

in Queenstown I went river boarding - here I am practicing in non-whitewater

after boarding the river we got to play in their mini-park. Here I am not-so-gracefully heading towards the water after jumping off the rope swing

enjoying the panorama view of Queenstown from up on the top of the hill

and now for an Australia picture. I think it's a rule that you have to take like 50 pictures of the Opera House. So here's one of my 50
